The Gulf Breeze High School Soccer programs are some of the most successful in North Florida. The girls program has won multiple state championships, and five consecutive District titles. The boys program is top fifteen in FHSAA history in playoff games played and wins, with multiple State Final Four appearances.
Since 2016 the boys program has been under the direction of Austin King. Coach King grew up in the area playing for Washington High School in Pensacola, and Pensacola Futbol Club. Austin currently holds diplomas from the nscaa (national and GK) and USSF E. Austin won multiple District titles at Washington, as well as making a U.S. Youth Soccer Southern Regional Semifinals with PFC. After high school, he played soccer at Huntingdon College before transferring to the University of Alabama. While at Alabama, Austin earned his Bachelor's degree in History and Religious Studies while coaching high school soccer at Mountain Brook High School. Mountain Brook finished as AHSAA 6A State Runner-up in Coach King's second season. Coach currently lives in Gulf Breeze with his wife Jasmine and two dogs Penny Lane and Paul Pogba. He also teaches AP US History/AP WOrld History at the High School.
